This week I've been on two courses already! I feel like an over eager puppy dog. I just love learning, I know I come across as a KEENO... I am! I've thoroughly enjoyed picking up lots of new ideas for my classroom.
First Course - English Grammar - Jane Considine.
Wow! This woman is hilarious, she should be on stage. Not only did she make grammar make sense to me and help me to understand how to make grammar quite simple and fun for my students, she also made my jaw ache! I felt like I just laughed all day!
I've gone back to school and organised Massive Maps and Mini Maps for my English lessons. I've been to B&Q and raided their colour charts so that I can get the children to understand the vocabulary they are using. I'm hoping that following this course I will never hear 'Crestfallen' being used to describe every feeling that isn't happy! Along with a lot of other things!
Second Course - Engaging with iPads - KRCS / Apple / Trilby.
Another amazing course! I've picked up loads of ideas for implementing iPads into the classroom. I knew there was hundred of brilliant apps out there for education but being able to see how these can be used in the classroom was really inspiring! Already I've come home and incorporated a QR Code hunt into my division maths lesson.
