Today I've been to a conference in Wetherby for ICT for Education. I love these things, the speakers are always amazing and mostly give you some great ideas and tips for using tech in school. However I found lunch awkward. I know there are stalls and there supposed to be helpful, but half of them I don't know what to say to them and you just don't need to talk to every single one. Does anyone else ever feel awkward at these things? The best freebies are always on the stalls that I don't need things from!
On the plus side, the speakers where great and I picked up some really great advice from them! They had some great sessions like the product review where salespeople were put on the spot and quizzed with the questions you want to ask but aren't sure you can! I wasn't enthralled by the 'light speed' audio company as the idea just seemed a little bit far fetched. Eschools looks really good and encompasses everything into one platform, I will definitely be looking into this! The only other company that caught my eye was DB which seemed to be similar to E-Schools platform but with an 'education city' style twist.
